Nicolas Delcourt
Founding Partner

Bio
  • Nicolas co-founded Intuitis in France in 2010, where he completed three investments (Sopragglo, Avime and USHIP), before moving to the US in 2014 and founding its US counterpart.
  • Between 1998 and 2010, Nicolas worked with two leading mid-market buy-out firms, Apax Partners (Associate Director) and Silverfleet Capital (Director), completing and leading multiple transactions in France and in Europe.
  • He started his career in 1988 as a second lieutenant in the French Navy onboard aircraft carrier Clemenceau. After this, Nicolas spent three years (1990 to 1993) as a sales representative with IBM in Paris and three years (1995 to 1998) as a consultant with Bain & Company in Boston.
Education
  • MBA (1995) from the Wharton School of Business.
  • MS Electrical Engineering (1988) CentraleSupelec.
Why did you decide to launch Intuitis?
After 15 years working with CEOs and senior managers, first as a consultant then as a private equity investor, I was more passionate than ever about backing management teams. I also wanted to launch my own entrepreneurial venture and go back to the fundamentals of capital investing: focusing on people and value creation with no specific time horizon.
How do you spend your free time?
I am a family man and just love to spend quality time with my family and friends. I also am an avid sailor and enjoy both racing in the Sound with my team and casually cruising with friends. A few years ago, I crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a 62ft sailboat with my son and a few friends – this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I feel sailing embodies values I care very much for: team spirit, shared effort, collective goal, respect for nature and for people.

Bio
  • Nicolas joined Intuitis in 2024 and led the investment in Consolidated Construction Products.
  • Between 2004 and 2023, Nicolas worked in management consulting with Bain & Company where he was a Partner.
During that time, he advised private equity firms on acquisitions and worked closely with portfolio companies’ executives to define and execute value creation plans.
  • He started his career with Schlumberger in Houston, TX where he was a manufacturing engineer before moving to a different division in Baltimore, MD (2002 to 2003).
Education
  • MBA (2008) from INSEAD.
  • MS industrial engineering (2002) from CentraleSupelec.
Why did you decide to launch Intuitis?
I have always enjoyed working closely with PE-backed business executives: I like their pragmatism, no-nonsense and ability to execute quickly. I also wanted to be involved over a longer time horizon and see the true results of my work. Intuitis’ investment philosophy perfectly matches those aspirations, and I have found great partners both within the Intuitis team and our portfolio companies.
How do you spend your free time?
When I am not working, you typically find me outside doing all kinds of activities. I really enjoy sports and while I am not competing anymore, I still play tennis, bike and run on a regular basis. I am also passionate about cars and racing. I started amateur racing in a Spec Miata last year, so my summer is now filled with weekend trips to various tracks across the country.
